Green Mustache was proud to sponsor the Kids Food Festival in Bryant Park in NYC on March 1st and 2nd. We had a blast sharing Green Mustache juice smoothies with thousands of New Yorkers who braved a cold winter weekend to show their kids how fun eating healthy can be. Between hands-on cooking demos with celebrity chefs and fun live performances, kids did the Balanced Plate Scavenger Hunt (based on USDA guidelines!) and got to see, feel, and sample foods in every food group. Green Mustache was happy to give out both veggie and fruit stamps to send kids on their way to winning goody bags with healthy snacks and treats.
We were in great company with other sponsors such as the James Beard Foundation, Whole Foods, Honest Tea, and even the musical Newsies! But the Kids Food Festival is more than just a fun and flavorful time—it’s fundamentally grounded in helping to stomp out childhood obesity and hunger through the education and promotion of making balanced food choices--something we wholeheartedly support! The event’s charity partner, Alliance for a Healthier Generation, is an incredible organization that works with schools, community centers, and families to transform the conditions and systems that lead to healthier kids.
